Abstract

PURPOSE:To discharge a developer in a developing device without staining hands, by combining a photoreceptor drum, magnetic brush system developing device and cleaning device in a body and by using them in combination with a unit provided detachably to an electrophotographic copying machine. CONSTITUTION:From unit 100 detached from the copying machine body, cleaning device 6 and cover 8 of developing device 4 are detached and photoreceptor drum 1 is removed up; and developer removal container 9 is inserted to the storage position of photoreceptor drum 1 from above and installed. In the installation, receiving opening 11 of developer removal container 9 is fitted to the outer circumference of developing sleeve 2 while developer 5 sticking to it is thrust away. After container 9 is fitted, magnet roll 3 is rotated manually and fixed and held at the position near receiving opening 11 where magnetism is weakened, and developing sleeve 2 is rotated manually in the opposite direction to copying operation.
