Abstract

PURPOSE:To transfer the residual toner on a magnet roller to a toner storage part, and remove the residual toner on a photosensitive drum by the constitution in which a rotary vane wheel mounted with relatively soft vanes is disposed in such a manner that the tips of the vanes slidably contact the magnet roller. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 34 is constituted of a magnet roller 35, a rotary vane wheel 36, and a tank 37 for containing the residual toner T2 and is provided freely mountably from upward to the body of the copying mechine. If charge is applied to a photosensitive drum 1 with a destaticizing Corotron electrode 38 in such a manner that the charges of the drum 1 and the toner T2 assume the same polarity in order to remove the residual toner T2 on the drum 1, the toner T2 is magnetically attracted to a revolving magnet roller 35, and the magnetically attracted toner T2 is further scraped by the vanes 36a, 36b of the rotary vane wheel 36, and is transferred into the tank 37.
