Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a chain state of the magnetic powder, by installing a magnetic plate that is magnetized by the magnetic force of a developing roller at the end part of the opening part of a developer tank through which a visible image of a photoreceptor passes and providing a sealing member on the surface opposite to the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic plate 19 is installed at the end part 3b of the opening part of a developer tank 3 through which a visible image passes after the electrostatic latent image of a photoreceptor 1 is developed. A sealing member 20 composed of a soft porous material is provided on the surface opposite to the photoreceptor 1. The plate 19 is magnetized by the magnetic force of the magnet 2a of a developing roller 2 to increase the magnetic field near the plate 19. Thus the magnetic powder is attracted to the plate 19 and at the same time hidden into the pores of the member 20. Accordingly, the magnetic powder is not substantially put under a chain state and thus does not stick to the surface of the photoreceptor 1.
