Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a transfer image from trailing by eliminating the formation of a chain of magnetic toner in a developed image by providing a conveyance magnetic pole, which has magnetic flux density nearly equal to or higher than that of a developing magnetic pole, to the downstream exit of a development part. CONSTITUTION:While a photosensitive drum 11 is rotated colockwise, a sleeve 7 is rotated counterclockwise, and toner on a developing roll 1 is moved in the same direction with a photoreceptor surface at the part of a developing nip. In the sleeve, a rod-shaped magnet made of anisotropic ferrite is fixed. As a developer 10, a single-component magnetic toner having 5X10<14>OMEGAcm volume resistance is used; when the sleeve surface magnetic flux density of a developing magnetic pole 20 is 600, 800, 1,000, or 1,200 Gauss, any trailing is caused with 1,000 and 1,200 Gauss sleeve surface magnetic flux density of the magnetic pole 21 of an exit part, and trailining is caused with both 600 and 800 Gauss density.
