Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform excellent reversal development by adjusting the intensity of an electric field at a reversal picture part to >=1,000V/mm. and that at an unexposed part to <1,000V/mm.. CONSTITUTION:For example, the 10-pole and 750 gauss magnetic roller 7 of a developing device is turned at 1,443r.p.m and the 31.4mm.phi rotary sleeve 6 made of stainless steel is turned at 276r.p.m., the gap (g) between this and a photosensitive drum 3 is st to 0.4mm.. A potential (Vs') applied to the rotary sleeve 6 is set to +1.000V. In said conditions, reversal development is carried out, transfer to ordinary paper is done by a corona discharger applied with 6.0kV, and fixation is performed by a thermal fixing device. The density of a thus copied picture is 1.4 at the development part and an unexposed part has not any fog at all.
