Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sorting performance through easy operation with simple structure, by providing a photoelectric detector and light sources in a photoelectric jet-flow sorting chamber where mixed grains differing in color are sorted. CONSTITUTION:Mixed grains differing in color flows out of supply hopper 4 via vibrating grain feed flume 3 and down-flow flume 5 along prescribed down-flow track A in photoelectric sorting chamber 11. Photodetector 7 detects the difference in quantity between reflected light from different-color grains by the light from lught sources 6 and light from reference plate 8, and according to its detection signal, injection nozzle device 10 generates a jet flow at an adequate time to put the different-color grains off down-flow track A, thereby dropping them from discharge opening 13. According to the transparency, etc., of the different-color grains, light source 6(A)-6(D) are turned of-off properly to adjust the quantity of light properly. Thus, the sorting performance can be improved with the simple structure through the easy operation.
