Abstract

PURPOSE:To effect the significant simplification of the grain feeding process and improve the efficiency of the grain feeding apparatus by a arrangement wherein the output path of the vibratory grain feeding conduit is formed into branched passages, flowing down conduits are connected with the branched passages, respectively, and there is provided an opening and shutting valve in each passage. CONSTITUTION:A flow rate adjusting valve 19 is attached at the central portion of a flow path at base of a grains feeding conduit 2. When opening and shutting valves 21A and 21B provided in respective branched passages 15 and 16 are opened to operate the apparatus, mixed grain with different color being flowed down to the conduit 2 from a supply hopper 3 flow out to the exhaust side by vibration of the conduit 2, are separated into the passages 15 and 16 by the valve 19, and then flowed down through flowing down conduits 4, 5 along flowing down loci A, A of photoelectric ejectors 6, 7. In the ejectors 6, 7, reflected light from the grain with different color is detected by photodetector 9A or 9B to produce the corresponding signal. According to these detection signals, a jet nozzle 10A or 10B produces air jet stream so as to allow the grain with different color to be left from the locus A and dropped into a grain collecting container 12, while feeding other proper grain into a grain collecting tube 13. With either of ejectors 6, 7 failured, only the corresponding passage is shut. Thus, it becomes possible to simplify the process and improve the efficiency of the selector.
