Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate gate adjustment by providing gates with weir members and providing the machine with gate adjusting mechanisms for adjusting the height of these weir members. The light materials to be sorted are prevented from being discharged from the second gate by being mingled with the heavy materials to be sorted from which the light materials to be sorted (defective beans) are ought to be discharged. As a result, the adequate discharge of the materials to be sorted is made possible.
