Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a titled device and to make the manufacture of the device having color screening ability of high accuracy possible by using fluorescent lamps emitting light of specific wavelengths as lighr sources for the color screening machine. CONSTITUTION:The grains which are mixed with dissimilar color grains and flow down linearly from a downflow trough are irradiated with fluorescent lamps emitting light of specific wavelengths, the transmitted or reflected light thereof and the reflected light from reference color plates are compared with photoelectric detectors, and an injecting device is operated by the signal thereof, whereby the screening of the dissimilar color grains is accomplished. For example, the grains which are mixed with dissimilar color grains and flow down from a downflow trough 5 are irradiated with fluorescent lamps 9 emitting light of wavelengths from about 400nm to 500nm wavelengths and the transmitted or reflected light thereof and the reflected light from reference color plates 11 are measured and compared with photodetectors 10, thence an injection nozzle device is operated by the signal corresponding to the difference between both whereby the dissimilar color grains are screened. At this time, the dissimilar color grains are conducted to a dissimilar color discharge port 15 and screened grains to a screened grain collecting cylinder 16, respectively.
