Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable effective self-diagnosis of a device by diagnosing its operation comparing with a receiving signal of the same expression type while delaying the transmission signal prescribed beforehand. CONSTITUTION:Predetermined data transmitted from a computer 21 pass through an attenuator 56 via a buffer 4, a transmitting circuit 6, a transmitter 8 and an LED10, and transmitted and received through a self-loop that passes through a photoelectric element 5 and a buffer 3. The input of the transmitter 8 is delayed by a certain time through a delay circuit 11, and the action is diagnosed by comparing with a receiving signal of the same expression type of the receiver 7, in a collating circuit 12. The result is reported to a control circuit 15 by a common signal 21b. By this way, self-diagnosis of the device is made effectively.
