More specifically, these are subjected to primary charging of positive polarity under uniform irradiation of the B-color light, then to the secondary charging of negative polarity in the dark, slightly less than the primary charging. In this state, electric double layers are formed double with opposite directions of dipole moment via the photoconductive layers 1A, 1B, so that the surface potential of the photoreceptor 1 of this time is made 0.
