Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent positional slippage of deflection caused by the temperature of ink and thereby obtain a recording picture of stable quality by reducing ink pressure when the temperature of ink is high, while increasing the pressure when the temperature is low, on performing deflection control ink-jet recording. CONSTITUTION:In an ink-jet recording device comprising an ink tank 80, a pump 100, an accumulator 110, an electromagnetic valve 120, a reocrding head 10, etc., a thermistor 140 is provided in a position where the temperature of ink can be detected. Then, the driving circuit 130 of the pump 100 which supplys the recording head 10 with ink in the ink tank 80 is connected with the thermistor 140, whereby the device is constituted so that the ink pressure can be controlled in accordance with the temperature of ink by driving and stopping of the pump 100. By this constitution, the ink pressure is reduced when the temperature of ink is high, while the pressure is increased when the temperature is low, and thereby the momentum of ink particles is set at a fixed level and the change in the amount of deflection due to the change in the temperature of ink is offset by controlling the ink pressure.
