Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of the image by printing letters with the constant pressure of the head immediately after the start of the injection through a capacity varying mechanism in linkage with the opening or closing of the valve for controlling the ink flow provided for the accumulator. CONSTITUTION:While the three-way valve is not opened to the head 5, the solenoid 18 fails to be energized, where an empty chamber 15 of the accumulator is set at the smaller capacity. At this point, there is no ink flow driving the screw pump 2. Thus, the internal pressure of the accumulater reaches its maximum. The moment the three-way valve is opened, the solenoid is energized, so that the capacity of the empty chamber 15 increases sharply. As a result, the pressure is maintained at the normal level in spite of limited flow thereby keeping the initial speed of the ink drops 21 constant. Thus, a stable state can be secured immediately after the start of the injection.
