Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide and ink jet head wherein clogging of nozzle is eliminated the injection speed is increased, and printing concentration control is excellent by providing a valve element within the first nozzle which communicate to the second nozzel through an ink passage. CONSTITUTION:The first ink passage 81 is disposed between the first nozzle 31 and vibration plate 2 for feeding the pressurized ink with a pump 10 from the storage tank 9 to the ink passage 81. The second ink passage 82 is disposed between the first nozzle 31 and the second nozzle 32. A valve needle 7 to open the first nozzle 31 is secured with an electrostrictive vibrator 1 and a vibrating plate 2, the valve needle 7 being advenced to the first nozzle 31 direction to cause to develop a pressure wave in the second ink passage 82, allowing the pressure developed by said pressure wave and the pump 10 to inject the ink from the second nozzle 32 and the first nozzle 31 to close by the valve needle 7.
