Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep the temperature of ink inside a liquid chamber constant for obtaining uniform ink droplets all the time by altering the effective value of voltage to be applied on an electrostrictive vibrator according to the temperature of ink. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of ink is low, because the difference between the output of A/D converter 9 and a set value is great, the output of the converter 11 becomes great. DC voltage from the D/A converter 11 is overlapped with AC voltage from an AC-generating circuit 12 at an overlap circuit 13, and voltage to be applied to the electrostrictive vibrator 3 becomes great. For this reason, the heating amount of the electrostrictive vibrator 3 is increased and the temperature of ink in a liquid chamber 6 is thus raised. As the temperature of ink rises, the output of the D/A converter is lowered, whereby voltage to be applied to the electrostrictive vibrator 3 is smaller in its effective value to lessen the heating amount of the vibrator 3. In this way, the temperature of ink in the liquid chamber 6 can be kept constant.
