Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the temperature of an ink flowing to a head constant in a liquid temperature controller of an ink jet printer by varying an apparent reference voltage as the differential voltage between a reference voltage for providing the prescribed temperature and an environmental temperature in accordance with the environmental temperature. CONSTITUTION:Since the first temperature detector 8 in non contact with a head 1 becomes nearly an environmental temperature at the rising time of a heater 6, the output voltage VS of the detector 8 does not considerably vary. Accordingly, the heater 6 is controlled by the output of the second temperature detector 11. When the head 1 is heated and the environmental temperature is raised, the output voltage VS of the detector 8 rises. Thus, an apparent reference voltage of a differential amplifier 10 as the differential voltage between the reference voltage Vref of a reference power source 9 and the output voltage VS of the detector 8 falls, and the power W supplied to the heater 6 is lowered. Therefore, the heating temperature of the heater 6 decreases, the output voltage of the amplifier 10 and the output voltage of the detector 11 are equilibrated, and the temperature Ti of the ink flowing to the head 1 becomes constant.
