Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an even printing density by applying a high power to a heat generating body at the first half of a heating cycle to make a quick rise up to the allowable maximum temperature while a lower power is applied at the second half thereof. CONSTITUTION:A power pulse (a) applied to a heat generating resistor 3 and a temperature change (b) therein is as shown in the drawing. First, a high power p2 is applied for a time t2 to elevate the temperature upto the allowable upper limit temp. TLIM. Then, a low power p3 is applied upto the time t1 to maintain the temperature at the level to the time t1. This increases the area of a part substantially effective for the printing as indicated by a slash thereby enhancing the printing density for the same heating time.
