Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep a deflecting amount with respect to a temperature variation at constant by a method wherein a time length from the beginning of charging an ink drop to a time whereat the output of a detector is obtained is monitored and the variation of an ink flow velocity is converted into the variation of a time width to control the ink velocity. CONSTITUTION:When a gate opening pulse is outputted from a printing control circuit 19, a high pressure test pulse is generated in a charging electrode 22 through an AND circuit 20 by a charging circuit 21 and the ink drop is charged. A reference time generating circuit 23 and a flip-flop 24 are operated with the leading edge of the gate opening pulse. The charged ink drop is detected by the detector 33 while the peak value thereof is detected by a peak voltage detecting circuit 35 and the flip-flop 24 is set by the peak value. Thus, the time detected by the flip-flop 24 is compared with the reference time from the reference time generating circuit 23 by a time difference comparator 25 to feedback it to a pump 26.
