Abstract
PURPOSE:To omit a gain adjustment operation by a method wherein the magnitude of a phase detection signal outputted from a charged signal generating circuit is adjusted automatically by an adjusting circuit and thereby the output of a voltage amplifier at the time of an optimum phase is always maintained within the normal voltage. CONSTITUTION:After a detection signal from a sensor 8 is amplified by a sensor amplifier 22 of a fixed gain, a required signal portion only is extracted from a low- pass filter 30 and amplified by a voltage amplifier 24. Being converted into a direct current by a smoothing circuit 25, the amplified signal turns to be an output VO and enters comparators 51 and 52, where it is compared with respective standard voltages VF1 and VF2. For instance, when VO is higher than 4V, the detection signal is determined to be ''present''. And, whether or not the setting of an adjusting circuit 50 is the optimum value, is examined by the comparator 52. EFFECT:Manual adjustment is not necessary because the magnitude of the phase detection signal is changed and adjusted automatically by the adjusting circuit corresponding to the charged condition of an ink drip, etc.
