Abstract

PURPOSE: According to the dust density of the dust collecting gas fed to the gas intake, power consumption control of the power source for the electrode is performed. By doing so, power consumption can be reduced.
CONSTITUTION: A gas intake 9 is equipped with an electrode for the dust density detection 11 and it is connected to a direct current converter for detector 20 which is connected through a boosting transformer for detector 21 and a voltage detector 24 to an operational amplifier 26. By doing so, when dust collecting gas is fed to the gas intake 9, the dust enters to the electrode 11 and the primary winding voltage of the boosting transformer 21 increases in proportion to the dust density. Then, the signal corresponding to the voltage increase is output through the designated voltage setting of a slice level setting device 25 to an electric control circuit 15 and the firing angle of a thryster 3 for current control for the electrode power source in an electric dust collector 6 is controlled. Thus, the designated voltage is charged for dust collection between a discharge electrode 7 and a dust collection electrode 8.
