Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect a program getting out of control by latching a natural value in a register by a specific output instruction at a check point on a program and then by making a comparing decision on the propriety of a next check point.
CONSTITUTION: A parameter signal in bus signal 11 is supplied from decoder 13 to AND circuits 14 and 15 and while FF17 is set by output instruction pulse 16 as a 1st check point, a natural value of a check point of data signal 22 is latched by latch 21 by way of AND circuit 19. Further, timer 24 is actuated by the output of circuit 19. The output of FF17 closes circuit 19 through delay circuit 18 and the timer is not actuated hereafter. The content of latch 21 is compared with data signal 22 by comparator circuit 28 all the time and when a coincidence is detected, FF17 is reset through gate 27 to restart timer 24. If a program gets out of control and no check point is found, timer 24 generates a timer-out signal to inform through FF26 that the program is getting out of control.
