Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively recover the heat possessed by molten slag by flowing molten slag onto plural pipes made of copper or iron and heating the water in the pipes. CONSTITUTION:The molten slag 2 in slag pan 1 is flowed onto plural pipes or box bases 4 through spout 3. The water in a water storage tank 6 is fed into the pipes or box bases 4 by a pump 7 and is heated by the molten slag. It is then collected as high temperature water or high temperature steam in a collector 10, after which it is taken out to the outside through a valve 11. The slag having cooled and solidified through heat exchanging is charged into the molten slag cooling water tank by a scraper 12, after which it is carried to the outside by a conveyor.
