Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the scale deposition onto a reflux well by cooling the waste geothermal hot water to effect deposition of scale through saturation, and reheating the hot water before refluxing it into a reflux well.
CONSTITUTION: Waste hot water 1 at about 95 C which has been used at a geothermal power plant or the like is introduced into a fluidized bed type heat exchanger 3 via an inlet pipe 2. The hot warer 1 flows into a first heat exchange room 7a, and flows through an outlet port 9a into a second heat exchange room 7b... finally flows into a forth heat exchange room 7b and is cooled to about 55 C. The hot water 1 flows over the brim of a tube plate 5b into the feed line of a radiation type reservoir 13. Silica or the like deposited on the surfaces of cooling pipes 6 is transfered by floating particles 16 and recovered by a recovery means. After recovery of the scale components, the hot water 1 flows through the discharge line of the reservoir 13 into a return room 15 of a hot water tank 4, is heated to about 85 C while flowing inside the cooling pipes 6, and returned into a reflux well 12 via a discharge room 10.
