Abstract
PURPOSE:To directly utilize steam of high temp. and high press. for generation of electricity, a steam power plant, process steam, etc. by converting a liquid into the steam with the sensible heat of molten furnace slag as a heat source by means of contact heat transfer and radiation heat transfer to heat transfer media. CONSTITUTION:Molten furnace slag 14 is continuously supplied from molten slag runner 1 to distributor 2 rotating at a constant speed at the top of heat exchanger 3 to be distributed onto the outside of exchanger 3 to a uniform thickness. While the molten slag flows down along exchanger surface, it is heat exchanged for a fluid inside heat transfer tube 13 of exchanger 3, cooled, solidified on the lower surface, exfoliated 4, and fed to slag water-cooling vessel 6. On the other hand, a liquid such as water in hot water drum 8 is pressurized with circulation pump 9, and part of the pressurized liquid is fed into tube 13, heated to high temp., and returned to drum 8. The remainder is fed to heat transfer tube 5 adjacent to exchanger 3, heated to high temp. with the radiant heat of the slag, and returned to drum 8 Satd. steam and satd. liquid of high temp. and high press. stored in drum 8 are directly taken out as a power or heat source fom the upper part of drum 8 through press. regulation valve 10.
