CONSTITUTION: Each 4 of steel products of such a high temp. as about 1100°C charged like the arrow with conveying device 5 is descaled by spraying high press. water in high press. water spraying part 9 placed at the fore side of descaling and cooling zone 11. The surface temp. of product 4 is lowered by spraying cooling water in cooling water spraying part 10 placed behind part 9 in succession. Product 4 whose surface temp. alone has been lowered is then dipped in a fused salt vessel to recover the sensible heat of product 4 with a fused salt, and steam is generated through heating tubes dipped in the salt to effectively utilize the sensible heat.
