PURPOSE: To recover the heat of slag from a blast furnace or the like and to generate hot water using the heat by dropping and spouting the slag on a rotary disk in a closed vessel proper; at the same time, spraying high pressure water on the disk from nozzles; dropping thus granulated slag into a water tank; and cooling and further granulating the slag.
