EXAMPLE:4-(3-Methyl-2-thienyl)-acetophenone. USE:Intermediates for the synthesis of antiphlogistics and analgesics, capable of synthesizing the compound of formula II having improved actions, usable continuously with low toxicity and side effects. PROCESS:A compound of formula III: (X is halogen) is reacted with a compound of formula IV in a solvent, e.g. THF, in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. palladium chloride, at a reflux temperature of the solvent to give the compound of formula I.
