Abstract
PURPOSE: To compensate the air/fuel ratio variation particularly at the idle time and improve the operational performance, by the structure wherein a valve which determines the amount of fuel ejection in accordance with the signal from an air flow detector is provided in the suction path of a multicylinder engine, and an air path is connected to the suction path in the upper and lower streams of a throttle valve.
CONSTITUTION: Primary path 15 having primary throttle valve 3 and secondary path 16 having secondary throttle valve 4 are provided inside suction path 1. Primary path 15 in the lower stream of primary throttle valve 3 is provided with electromagnetic fuel ejecting valve 8. Function generator 7 receives signals from air flow detector 6, which is provided in the upper stream of venturi 2, and controls the opening and closing of this ejecting valve 8. Ejecting valve 8 is provided with auxiliary air path 9, which is used for atomizing fuel and which bypasses primary throttle valve 3. Further, idle air path 10 having adjusting screw 11 is provided in the upper stream of venturi 2 and in secondary path 16 in the lower stream of secondary throttle valve 4, and thereby air/fuel ratio compensation at the idle time is operated.
