Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a carburetor which is improved in the stability of its fuel atomization in a low and a high speed running region of the engine by constituting same such that a wall defining a bypass opening at the side adjacent the suction air passage is arranged nearer to the low speed fuel passage and a bypass port and an idle port are provided in another wall of the bypass opening.
CONSTITUTION: An idle port 16 and a bypass port 18 are arranged adjacent to each other in a wall defining a bypass opening 20 in a throttle chamber 3. The idle port 16 is opened to the suction air passage below a throttle valve 15. The bypass port 18 is opened in a position substantially opposite to the outer peripherey of the throttle valve 15 above the idle port 16. The idle port 16 is arranged in an coaxial relation with an idle adjust screw 17 which has a tapered end adjacent to the idle port 16 whereby fuel flow during idling is adjustably determined
