CONSTITUTION:The soaking pit 18 is installed between the continuous casting apparatus and the rolling apparatus, and the slab 30 is sent in the direction from A to B by the roller 24 of the table 16 and the charger 26, and is placed in plural raws l1...l10 within the soaking pit 18. The inside of the soaking pit 18 is kept at uniform temperature by plural circulation fans 32 installed within the pit 18; and the slab 30 at uniform temperature is sent into the heating furnace of the rolling apparatus through the roller 34 of the table 20 and the extractor 36. As a result, the unit fuel consumption of the heating furnace is reduced, and the same roll chance can be given to the rolling mill, and the uniformly shaped steel sheet can be manufactured.
