PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of fuel and to improve an operating efficiency by forecasting the movements that the steel ingots of respective casting charges flow through a blooming process and a hot rolling process in accordance with a change of operating plans and correcting the sequence of casting in such a way that the movements flow smoothly. CONSTITUTION:The data relating to the opportunity loss factors of the respective installations of the blooming process and hot-rolling process of the case in which respective charges are cast in accordance with the sequence of casting after the change of operating plans are forecast. More specifically, the number of the charges producing those waiting for extraction in the stage of loading steel ingots in a soaking pit 5, and the transition thereof, the generation of the steel ingots waiting for hardening in a blooming mill 6, the number of the ingots loaded to a cooling hearth 7, and the transition thereof, the forecast arrival time of the ingots relating to the objective charges of a slow cooling furnace at a slow cooling furnace 8, the arrival time of the ingots relating to the objective charge for direct feeding and rolling at a hot rolling mill 10, the forecast arrival time of the ingots relating to the objective charge for loading hot ingots into a heating furnace 9, and the forecast arrival time of continuously cast ingots are displayed. Then, the operator makes correction and forecasting properly and determines the sequence of casting.
