Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the development of flaws in steel piece by making charging and extraction by putting hot steel piece on a base steel plate in a pusher type heating furnace in which hot steel piece after continuous casting or bloom rolling is charged.
CONSTITUTION: The hot steel piece 5 obtained from continuous casting process or bloom rolling is carried along to right before the charging opening of heating furnace by means of the roller table 2 and then charged into the heating furnace 1 through the pusher 3. In this case, because the hot steel piece 5 is brought into contact with the base iron plates 6 and then charged into the furnace through the pusher 3, the hot steel piece 5 can pass through the furnace without coming into contact with the skid rail 4 at all. Accordingly, it is possible to rise the temperature of hot steel piece to a rolling temperature or to keep the temperature of the hot steel piece by the pusher type heating surnace without damaging the hot steel piece.
