Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the removal efficiency of BOD and enable the treatment of P, N component by a mechanism wherein a waste water is treated by active sludge after treated unaerobically and a froth formed during a froth floatation and concentration process is returned to an activated sludge aeration process, thereafter a part of the mixed liquid of this aeration process is returned to an unaerobic treating process.
CONSTITUTION: A raw water 1 containing BOD, N compounds and PO4 is flowed into an unaerobic tank 4 along with a returned water 2 from an aeration tank 5 and a bound oxygen of dissolved O2 or NOx within the returned water is reduced by the BOD of the raw water. When an aeration tank 4 becomes completly to an unaerobic condition, the raw water is flowed into an aeration tank 5 and the BOD component is removed. Next, a part of the raw water is returned to an unaerobic tank 4 and the remainder portion is flowed into a sludge floatation and concentration tank 6 along with a pressurized water 7, then the sludge is separated by floatation and the separated water is discharged as the treated water 9. The froth (the floated sludge) 10 of a concentration tank 6 is dropped into an aeration tank 5 by a scraping machine 11 and broken, deaerated and diluted by the mixed liquid of the tank 5, thereafter returned to the tank 4 and the remainder portion is flowed into the tank 6 and treated.
