Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the scanning of the desired character in a high precision by adding a smaller equilateral triangle mark than the size of the character to every character element of the character matrix in case the small-area hologram on which the characters are recorded is reproduced.
CONSTITUTION: Rectangular equilateral triangle mark 2 is added to every element of the character matrix of the small-area hologram, and middle point Z of the oblique side of mark 2 is set as the scanning base point. The electron beam is radiated to region 3 after reproducing the image of the character matrix on the reading screen of the pickup tube. Now suppose that the electron beam hits point t, and thus the beam is shifted to the lower part to memorize shift distance ΔY of the beam. Then the beam is shifted to the left side to memorize shift distance ΔX where the beam hits the side other than the oblique side of mark 2. Based on this shift distance, coordinates X0 and Y0 are decided, and thus the coordinates X and Y of point Z can be obtained through the operation shown by the equation.
