Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent regasifying unit for low temperature fuel from thermally adversely affecting an envivonment and a condensation type steam turbine from thermally adversely affecting the environment by introducing drain water of low temperature exhausted from the regasifying unit into the condenser for a condensation type steam turbine plant.
CONSTITUTION: Low temperature liquified natural gas or the like is, for example, stored in a liquified gas tank 1, the gas is introduced into an evaporator 3 and heated by natural water 5, and regasified and exhausted. On the other hand, exhaust gas 9 from a steam turbine 11 is introduced into a condenser 7, cooled and condensed to form water and to exhaust it. The drain 6 of the evaporator 3 is introduced as cooling water to the condenser 7 to thereby heat it. The temperature of the drain water 8 of cooling water 6 is determined by the balance between the amount of heat of the exhaust gas 9 of the turbine and the amount of heat of the cooling water 6. When they are suitably balanced thermally, it equalizes the temperature of the exhaust water 8 to the temperature of heating water 5, namely, environmental water temperature to thereby eliminate the adverse effect of the heat from the plant to the environment.
