Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the reaction with freon which contacts directly and to prevent deterioration of an intermediate heat medium by using a fluorine compound at ordinary temperature as an intermediate heat medium in a Rankine cycle system. CONSTITUTION:The subject system supplies an intermediate heat medium 3 heated in an intermediate heat medium heater 2 by a heat source 1 to a directly contacting heat exchanger 4 wherein the medium 3 contacts directly with freon 11 fed from a freon pump 10 to generate freon vapor 5. The vapor 5 is fed to a turbine 7 through a control valve 6, and caused to work. Then, the vapor 5 is introduced into a condenser 8, and cooled with a cooling medium 9 and condensed to be returned to liquefied freon. The intermediate heat medium 3 which has left the heat exchanger 4 returns again to the heater 2 through the tank 12 and the pump 13. In this case, for the intermediate heat medium 3, a fluorine compound which is liquefied at ordinary temperature is used. By these procedures, the reaction of the medium 3 with the freon directly contacted in the heat exchanger 4 can be suppressed and deterioration thereof can be prevented.
