Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase operational and econimic efficiency, by using sea water as heat source and coolant as heat medium, and by changing the course of sea water in accordance with its temperature. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate heat medium type heat exchangers 1, 2 use propane as coolant and sea water as heat source. Heat exchanger 1 exchanges heat between sea water and coolant, heat exchanger 2 between coolant and LNG. LNG enters heat exchanger 2 from line 18, is gasified as it passes the heat transfer pipe, and leaves heat exchanger 2 via line 19. In heat exchanger 1, 2, propane is used as low solidifying-point collant. The coolant is heated by sea water, and by using its evaporation and condensation, LNG is heated and gasified. When the sea water temperture is comparatively high, the water is discharged from lines 8, 9 via lines 6,7. When the sea water temperature is extremely low, the water is discharged from line 6 via line 10, 8 and line 7, 12.
