Abstract

1509040 Vapour engine power-plant TSUNGHSIEN KUO 24 Dec 1975 52884/75 Headings F1T and F1Q [Also in Division F4] A vapour engine power plant utilizes a working fluid having a boiling point below 10‹C at barometric pressure and a critical temperature above 0‹C, e.g. propane and/or ethane, and comprises a vapourizer 7, utilizing natural thermal energy, a super-heater 9, utilizing natural or waste thermal energy a turbine power generator 11, and a condenser 12 utilizing natural cooling medium, from which the condensed working fluid is returned to a storage container 1. The vapourizer may be operated by sun radiation energy acting on pipes 72; by lake or sea water passing through a tank 77' to act on pipes 72' in areas where the atmospheric temperature is low; or by geothermal energy acting on buried pipes 72". The super-heater 9 may utilize waste steam from various power stations or factories acting in heat exchanger 92; stack or other waste gases from various plants acting in heat exchanger 92'; or sun radiation energy acting on concave reflectors 92". Also, the condenser 12 may utilize cooling water from deep lakes or seas in a tank 121; natural or artificial ice in a tank 121'; or a freezing atmospheric air-stream acting on pipes 125" having cooling fins 123".
