Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent moisture contained in air from being frozen at the heat transmitting surface of an LNG carburettor upon utilizing the cold heat of LNG.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 14, an air and water separating device 16 and the LNG carburettor 7 are provided between a low-pressure compressor 4 and a high-pressure compressor 3. This heat exchanger 14 condenses the moisture contained in the compressed air by cooling the compressed air with cooling water 15 and removes the condensed water by the air and water separating device 16 as drain 17. The dehumidified compressed air is lowered in the temperature thereof to an extremely low temperature (-140°C for example) by effecting heat exchange between the LNG 6 in the LNG carburettor 7 and is introduced into the high-pressure compressor 3.
