Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the conductivity and strength of blowing metal and to reduce the fluctuation of filling capacity, by adjusting the depth of thick blowing metal prior to the filling of active material then filling an active material and pressing. CONSTITUTION:Nickel coating of approx. 20mu is performed through non-electrolytic galvanization and electric galvanization on a blowing uretane resin having depth of 1.7mm, porosity of 97% and average hole diameter of 100mu, then it is thermally processed in the air to remove the urethane resin. Then it is burnt in the hydrogen and cooled gradually to anneal the nickel, then passed through rollers preset to 1.25mm gap and adjusted to said depth. Nickel hydroxide, nickel, cobalt are added in the solution of carboxy methyl cellulose to produce a paste which is filled in said electrode base then pressed again under semi-dried state to produce an electrode having depth of, for example, 0.72mm.
