Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the burn-off time and reduce the consumption of adjusting atmospheric gas, by heating the material to be treated with protective atmospheric gas in the burn-off zone in the reducing atmosphere, and providing a sealing mechanism in the cooling zone end part.
CONSTITUTION: When the material to be treated enters burn-off zone A, it is heated by a direct fire burner 6. At this time, a reducing atmosphere is mixed in, and the lubricant is removed. Then, after preheat zone B', the material enters sintering zone B, and is heated and sintered with reducing gas supplied from a supply port 10 under protective atmospheric gas. Then, after slow cooling zone C, the material enters cooling zone D, and is cooled by water-cooled jacket. Nozzle boxes 16, 17 of V-form are provided at an extraction port 1b of the cooling zone D, and the reducing gas is blown so as to intersect obliquely in the fore part.
