Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out the titled treatment economically within a short time by introducing a reduction gas generated in case of melt treating a waste material in a melting furnace into a drying machine in front of the melting furnace to preliminarily drying a waste material for next melt treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A waste material finely crushed or not by a crusher 10 is introduced into a drying machine 12 and dried by a high temp. conbustion gas obtained by burring a high temp. reduction gas introduced from a melting furnace 14 through a pipe member 26 with the heated air heat-exchanged by a temp. reducing apparatus 42. Subsequently, the dried waste material is taken out from the drying machine 12 to be introduced into a hopper 18 and introduced into said furnace 14 by a screw conveyor 20 and melted further at high temp. in a reducing atmosphere and treated finally by appropriate means. The reduction gas generated from the molten waste material in the furnace 14 is supplied to the drying machine, but, on the other hand, is cooled in the temp. reducing apparatus 30, subjected to dust removing treatment in an electric dust removing apparatus 32 and stored in a gas tank 36 through a washing tower 34 to be put to practical multi-purpose use.
