Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance productivity and to attain the reduction of an exhaust gas amount by a mechanism wherein a high temperature exhaust gas of a sintered ore cooling apparatus is introduced to a hood povided at an upper side higher than a ignition furnace positioned in a forward half portion of a DL type sintering machine to dry a material layer to be sintered.
CONSTITUTION: A stock material layer 3 to be sintered supplied onto a DL type sintering machine 1 by a stock material hopper 2 is dried by a high temperature exhaust gas of a sintered ore cooling apparatus 7 introduced into a hood 5 or a high temperature exhaust gas of a portion which does not almost generate a harmful component such as SOx, NOx or the like positioned at a rear half portion of a sintering machine 1 or a mixed gas of both exhaust gases. A exhaust gas used in drying is discharged into atmosphere from a chimney 23 through a dust collector 20. On the other hand, dried stock material layer 3 is ignited by an ignition furnace 4 and sintered while conveyed on a sintering machine 1 and, subsequently, is ground by a grinding mill 6 and cooled by air in a cooling apparatus 7. An exhaust gas of a sintering zone is treated in an exhaust gas treating apparatus 31 through a dust collector 28 and discharged from a chimney 23.
