Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to measure the characteristics of sample, by detecting the attenuation of microwaves correctly without causing reflection waves, through the location of inspected sample, by providing the bent part at the center conductor of unbalanced strip line.
CONSTITUTION: The microwaves from the oscillator 1 is fed to the characteristics detector 3 of the inspected sample 4, and the output is absorbed in the dummy 6. Further, the detected power of the couplers 2 and 5 at the input and output side of the detector 3 is operated 7 to measure the physical properties of the sample 4 from the indication value corresponding to the microwave absorption of the sample 4. In this case, as the detector 3, the strip line 11 having the bent parts 21 and 22 at the both ends is used, and it is connected to the taper ridge waveguides 10 and 13.
