Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the title steel products by rapidly heating steel products contg. C and one or more out of Mn, Cr, Si, Mo and other components followed by hardening, rapid heating to a specified temp. and quenching. CONSTITUTION:Steel products contg. C>=0.30% and one or more out of Mn, Cr, Si, Mo and other components are rapidly heated by high frequency induction heating or the like and hardened. The resulting steel products of high strength are water-quenched immediately when a desired temp. in the range of 300-600 deg.C is attained in tempering, thus obtaining workable steel products having a tensile strength above 150kg/mm<2> and high toughness. The products can be cold-plastic- worked easily.
