PURPOSE:To improve a mass productivity of a heat sensitive recording head in a low cost by forming a diode matrix on the side faces perpendicular to the recording face of a carrier on which many heating elements and wiring patterns comprising the diode matrix. CONSTITUTION:The many heating elements 2 and a lead line 3 for the heating elements 2 are formed in the end face of a carrier 1 and a wiring pattern 64 comprising the diode matrix following the lead line is formed the side face following the end face. A wiring pattern 64 comprising the diode matrix and a wiring substrate 6 having a selective terminal 9 and a signal terminal 10 connected to the pattern 64 are additionally provided together with the wiring pattern provided in the carrier.
