Abstract
PURPOSE: Valve device is provided which functions according to engine operation condition thereby to produce a high concentration fuel-air mixture at medium-to- low load operation, without changing carburetor or Venturi diameter or main fuel jet diameter.
CONSTITUTION: In low-to-medium engine operation at a -200mmHg or greater negative value of engine suction, vacuum actuator's 22 diaphragm 25 is sucked toward the side of negative pressure chamber 23 to the maxium, against the force of the set spring 24, to completely close the butterfly valve 21 through the rod 26. This causes plenty of fuel flow from the fuel nozzle 18, permitting air-fuel mixture produced by the carburetor 7 to be concentrated to, for example, about a 7 to 8 air-to-fuel ratio. Air passes through the subsidiary suck route 9 and is jetted from the nozzle 13. Thus, high jet air causes swirl effect near the suction valve seating 6a, effecting high speed combustion.
