Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the compensated results thereby to reduce the capacity of a memory device, while holding the compensating accuracy, and thereby to reduce the price by multiplying the output, which is generated by converting the output signals of an image sensor in an A/D manner, and the output of a compensating memory.
CONSTITUTION: The compensation is accomplished by making use of the image sensor of silicone type. There are provided a dark signal memory 13 for storing the dark signal level of each element in advance and a sensitivity memory 15. The output of the dark signal memory 13, which is produced by converting the sensor output in the A/D manner, is subtracted by a subtracting circuit 14. A compensating memory 16 is addressed by the output of the sensitivity memory 15. The output of the compensating memory 16 and the output of the substracting circuit 14 are multiplied by a multiplying circuit 17 so that the compensated results are fed out of the multiplying circuit 17.
