Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate a variation of an output level due to a temperature change, by a simple constitution without providing a temperature sensor separately, by measuring a dark current of a solid image sensor, and executing a temperature compensation to a video signal obtained by the sensor in accordance with this dark current value. CONSTITUTION:Elements 1-N of a photoelectric conversion part 10 for photoelectrically converting an incident light beam are used for photodetecting video information, and the elements O, N+1 are covered with a shelter so that only generation of a dark current can be detected. Charge of this conversion part 10 is transferred to an amplifying part 12 by a shift register 11, is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 13, and after that, is divided into 2 systems such as the elements O, N+1 and other elements 1-N by a signal separator 17, temperature information 30 calculated by an atmospheric temperature, and a video signal 31 are outputted, and both of them are applied to a temperature compensation transducer 14. Subsequently, a temperature compensation is executed under the temperature information 30 by the transducer 14, and after that, it is processed by a data processor 15, and a variation of an output level due to temperature change is compensated by simple constitution.
