Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deviation due to leakage among photodetectors in a photodetector array, by assigning the address of ROM according to the digital value of a picture element to be corrected and those of picture elements before and behind the picture element to be corrected. CONSTITUTION:Reflected light from original surface 1 is converted photoelectrically by photodetector array 4, whose output is inputted to amplifier 5, level adjusting circuit 8 and A/D converter 9. Then, ROM11 outputs the contents of the address assigned by the current picture element signal inputted from converter 9 and the last picture element signal inputted from latch circuit 10, i.e. the signal having the leakage of the current picture element signal corrected to quantizing circuit 12, which outputs a binary-coded signal.
